I'm posting this because I've had a few people run into this problem. You open System Restore or you go to change your user icon and all you see is a blank white page where the application should be. Never fear!! You do NOT have a virus and you do NOT need to reinstall your windows. It quiet simply is a scripting error within windows XP. All you need to do is reinstall winscripts found here

Thanks! I don't have the problem, but if I did, this would be helpful.

Thanks for the extra effort you're making with this RedBuzzard. I'm sure it'll save some people much pulling of hair and gnashing of teeth.

OK. My task manager did a flip. The TM window pops up looking like a picture frame (similar to classic skin). Window does not get properly skinned by WB. All tabs at the top of window have vanished so that I can't switch to running processes etc. The picture frame shows running tasks only and the three buttons still remain at bottom of the window. I am running XP. Please help!

Try double clicking the 'frame' area of the window. Task Manager has the ability to switch between two viewing modes. Sounds like you got yours stuck in the second mode.

StephanA, I almost Reinstalled, but then I visited Windows Knowledge Base. Dubl-click the frame area in the window (The edge of the tab page) and whala! It's back!
